Sponsor OutRaleigh 2012
Dear Friends and Allies, As the new Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Raleigh, I’m pleased to contact you concerning sponsorship opportunities for the second annual OutRaleigh event, an incredible outdoor street festival scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012 on Raleigh’s Fayetteville Street City Plaza. This year, the festival’s theme is “All Families Matter” – celebrating North Carolina’s LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender) community, families, friends and supporters in a family-friendly atmosphere. The daylong festival will feature:
City Plaza through Hargett street will be closed for the event, allowing businesses and non-profit organizations to set up vendor spaces to interact with the visiting public. Businesses and restaurants in the surrounding downtown area will be encouraged to welcome and support festival attendees. OutRaleigh is a program of The LGBT Center of Raleigh, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeking to provide a day of awareness, entertainment and fun. We are partnering with Deep South for production company logistics and are collaborating with VISITRaleigh! of the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote the event across North Carolina. We are also inviting all other LGBT Pride festival organizers from across North Carolina and the country to attend and promote OutRaleigh. Please find below a schedule of our corporate sponsorship levels. LGBT market studies reflect that 78% prefer to conduct business with companies that have advertised in the gay market. Also, those studies identify LGBT markets as having a much larger disposable income and more buying power. We encourage you to contact us with further questions about how your company can participate by calling me at 919-832-4484. Thank you in advance for your support. Best Regards,
James Miller, MPP, MBA P.S. - Last year’s OutRaleigh event had over 6,000 attendees, with 40 vendors and 7 food vendors – and we expect to have an even greater turnout in 2012. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to market directly to the LGBT community. Included here are links to two online articles on OutRaleigh 2011 from NBC-17 News and the Raleigh News & Observer.
